DESCRIPTION:Farley Center Director and Natural Path Sanctuary (NPS) Coordinator Shedd Farley will give a presentation and answer your questions about green burial. A tour of the NPS will follow. \nPlease reserve a spot by e-mailing programs@farleycenter.org or calling the Farley Center at 608-845-8724. \nOptional tour of the Natural Path Sanctuary (NPS) by Director Shedd Farley following the presentation. The tour is contingent upon weather but for those who attend who would like a tour\, we can schedule you in for a future NPS private tour date with Director Shedd Farley. There are stairs at the Center to the meeting space\, if unable to do stairs\, please let us know and a private meeting will be set up on another date to meet with Director Shedd Farley. Also\, to let people know who are allergic to cats\, there is a cat on the premises. Light refreshments will be served.

SUMMARY:Sanctuary: Environmental Land Art at the Farley Center
DESCRIPTION:The Farley Center presents an art exhibition at the Overture Center. \nArtist reception on Friday\, Sept. 28 from 6:00-8:00. Enjoy light refreshments and music by WYSO Madison Music Makers while exploring the exhibit and meeting many of the participating artists. \n“Sanctuary: Environmental Land Art at the Farley Center” exhibit is a photographic tour of these art installations. It will be on display in the Playhouse Gallery at the Overture Center for the Arts September 7-October 28\, 2018. \nUsing natural materials from the land\, area artists were invited to be inspired\, expand creative boundaries\, play with mystery\, initiate surprise\, explore and celebrate our connection to the earth. The theme was “Sanctuary” which could be interpreted however the artists chose. Sixteen artists took on the challenge and created a variety of pieces on the outdoor grounds of the Natural Path Sanctuary at the Farley Center near Verona\, WI the summer of 2017. \nARTISTS\nDave Carlson\, Jessica Luer\, Betsy Delzer\, Drew McCoy\, Michael Duffy\, Karen Reppen\, Patrick Flynn\,        Cynthia Reynolds\, Beverly Gordon\, Bobbette Rose\, Chris Hindle\, Jane Scharer\, Lewis Koch\, John Scharer\, Katrina Kreuger\, Sue Schuetz \nEXHIBITION PHOTOGRAPHER\nBarry Sherbeck \n  \nThe Farley Center thanks Dane Arts\, the Dane County Board of Supervisors and private funders for their generous support of this exhibition including funds from the Endres Mfg.Company Foundation\, the Evjue Foundation\, Inc.\, charitable arm of the The Capital Times\, the W. Jerome Frautschi Foundation and the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation. \n  \nFarley Center also thanks the Overture Center for the Arts for inviting us to exhibit in the Playhouse Gallery and helping us make this show a reality.
