SUMMARY:Peace Songs\, Farley Center Land Art Installations
DESCRIPTION:Aug 9 – Oct 31\, 2025 \nFarley Center Land Art ExhibitPeace Songs 2025 (August 9 – October 31)There will maps at the kiosk for self guided tours. \nCome take a walk-about and see Farley Center Artist Installations in the Natural Path Sanctuary woods. We will have maps available for self guided tours. Visit the Farley Center anytime from sun-up to sun-down and take a walk through the woods. \nThis is the seventh year that area artists will create installations in the woods of the Natural Path Sanctuary on the Farley Center land. These artists are rising to the challenge of using only materials that can safely decompose back into the land. \nWhat is Land Art \nLand art\, also known as Earth art\, and environmental art is created by artists who use the materials of the Earth including for instance\, the soil\, rocks\, branches\, trees\, vegetation\, water and other natural\, non-toxic materials. The Farley Center supports these types of installations on our land to highlight the beauty\, value and necessity to think about how we view and use the land. Our artists help raise the discussion of what is toxic and what do we mean by the word “decompose.” What has to change in the way we work in order to sustain the Earth and all of us that live on it in healthy ways \nOur artists help raise the discussion of what is toxic and what do we mean by the word “decompose.” What has to change in the way we work in order to sustain the Earth and all of us that live on it in healthy ways \nThank you to all the participating artists and we look forward to seeing all the sustainable art installations created in the Natural Path Sanctuary by the following Farley Center Land Artists: \n\nFabu Phillis Carter*Mona CassisKate Heiber- CobbCat Coberly*Gene DelcourtBetsy DelzerLester DoreThomas FerrellaSteve HeuerRuthanna Hutton-OkpalaekeKatrina KruegerEfrat LivnyJon McComb*Erin McWalterBilly MorganKaren ReppenCynthia ReynoldsBobbette RoseSue SchuetzBarry SherbeckJohn SteinesLindy Wilson* \n\n* first time participating in a Farley Center Land Art ExhibitAll the bios/photos of the artists can be found in the Farley Center Artist facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/306035369827878\n\nSave the Dates:\nAugust 9 – October 31- Land Art Exhibit open to the public for self guided tourshttps://www.facebook.com/events/610301588071730\nAugust 9\, – Farley Center Opening Day Concert with Twila Jean – Peace Songs 2025\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1151857306288594 \nSeot 13- Farley Center/Dane Arts DABL/Visit Verona – An art market is planned for Saturday\, Sept 13 with the Farley Center Land Artists combined with the Dane Arts DABL artists. \nFor questions\, please contact programs@farleycenter.org \nWe thank Dane Arts and Visit Verona for supporting Farley Center artists\, the 2025 Land Art exhibition and the DABL Art Festival. \n \n\nPlanning a stay in Verona?\nVisitVeronaWi.com \nMORE INFO TO FOLLOW AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE DATE \nEvent Flyer
