DESCRIPTION:March 3\, 2024 \nEVENT IS FULL AS OF 2/14/24 – WAITLIST ONLY \n \nReusable Beeswax Wrapper Workshop with Jeanne Meier \n \nJoin Natural Path Sanctuary Board Chair Jeanne Meier on March 3 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Farley Center for a workshop on creating reusable beeswax wraps. These eco-friendly wraps will use beeswax from the Farley Center hives\, promoting a plastic-free lifestyle. Don’t miss this sustainable and fun event! There is no cost to attend\, but each participant must bring a hand towel\, an iron\, and a grater or vegetable peeler (for grating wax). Each person will go home with 3 wraps of varied sizes. \nSpace is limited to 12 participants and registration is required. \nRSVP to programs@farleycenter.org.

DESCRIPTION:3/23/2024 (Cancelled due to weather) \nFarley Center/NPS Bird Walk with Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance/Kaitlin Svabek \nTHIS EVENT IS LIMITED TO 20 ATTENDEES – register on the link below \nSet amidst 25 acres of woods and meadows on Farley Center land\, the Natural Path Sanctuary is the first cemetery in Dane County\, Wisconsin that exclusively follows natural and green burial practices. The nature preserve encompasses a diverse variety of habitats\, including a pond and rocky ridges. We will explore the sanctuary on an early spring morning\, looking and listening for birdlife. We will also be joined by staff who can share more about the history and management of this meditative place. \nAs a reminder\, spring weather in Wisconsin can be inconsistent\, so be sure to bundle up with layers and wear appropriate shoes for possibly icy\, muddy\, or wet conditions. Feel free to also bring a water bottle to stay hydrated\, binoculars\, and/or field guide. Their Spring menu will once again feature the Farley Fly-By cocktail! \nJoin us on March 28th for a cocktail hour from 4-6pm where you will get to try our Farley Fly-by (you can also order without alcohol) and learn about the Farley Center\, their beekeeping program\, and sustainable practices. \nJoin us in giving back during this year’s event!
