DESCRIPTION:Tour and Workshop by Farley Center Farmer Julie Plotkin/Root to Bloom \nDate and Time: Thursday\, July 31\, 6:00-8:00 p.m.\nCharge: No cost\nSPACE IS LIMITED – must RSVP to programs@farleycenter.org to attend \nJoin us for a delightful evening of flowers at The Farley Center! Starting with a tour of the sweetly tucked back flower field\, Julie\, owner/farmer of Root to Bloom\, will talk with folks about her growing methods. We will then gather under the oaks or in the barn for a bouquet-building demonstration followed by the opportunity to arrange your own bouquet to bring home with you! \nJulie Plotkin earned her certificate of Organic Farming from Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in 2004. Since then she has worked on and with organic farmers and gardeners. In 2020 she started Root to Bloom\, LLC\, a cut flower grower-owned business. She sells at the Eastside Farmers Market\, subscriptions to members (anyone can join)\, bulk flowers for weddings and celebrations\, and wholesale to restaurants and businesses.
