Karen Reppen is a life-long resident of southern Wisconsin, with a love of its land, its people, and its diverse opportunities. Her commitment to peace, justice, and sustainability began early in life when she became involved in the civil rights, feminist, anti-war movements during the 1960s. Her professional career ranges from ski patrolling, pig farming, and construction, to cartography, publishing, and hospice care. She brings years of leadership experience in business development; project management, PR and communications; marketing and event planning, with experience in large and small private businesses, state and federal public-sector agencies, and non-profit healthcare organizations. For the past 17 years, her work has focused on educating and supporting those who are either preparing for or experiencing end of life. She is also an avid gardener, mixed-media artist, animal lover, and seeker.
