Brenda Emerson is a Funeral Director with nearly 20 years of deathcare experience. She is from Rice Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois. In 2013, Brenda moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to join her husband, Kent while he was at school, and spent five years serving as a Licensed Funeral Director in Oklahoma before returning home to Wisconsin and joining the Ryan Funeral Home team in April 2018. She is excited to be a member of the Madison area community and honored to continue serving the families of Ryan Funeral Homes. She is dedicated to using her knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to the work of Natural Path Sanctuary and the mission they strive for in our community.
Brenda enjoys spending her time outside: hiking, camping, fishing, and gardening.
As a Wisconsin native and the granddaughter of a former Dairy Farmer whose agricultural teachings have left a lasting impression on her, she discovered her lifelong appreciation of gardening through a family tradition where growing and preserving food continues to be her way of life. With the belief that our relationship and collaboration with nature is important, Brenda hopes to inspire a sustainable, positive interaction not only with nature, but also with death.
