Cocktail Hour with Farley Center

Farley Center has partnered with Palette Bar and Grill on a new cocktail using our own Farley Center honey. They will debut and start selling the new cocktail “Farley Fly-By” on their menu for the Spring.

On February 26th, Palette is hosting a special night for Farley Center supporters. Join us for the cocktail hour (you can also order it without alcohol)! We will be in the bar area from 4:30-8:00pm with some brochures and a friendly smile.

If you want to make reservations for the dining room, please e-mail programs@farleycenter.org and let us know the time/number of people and we will send them over to Palette’s Bar and Grill.

Natural Path Sanctuary Walking Tour with Director Shedd Farley.

You MUST reserve a spot by e-mailing programs@farleycenter.org or calling the Farley Center at 608-845-8724. Tours fill up fast so if you sign up and need to cancel, please let us know so we can add another from our waitlist.

Come take a walk through the Natural Path Sanctuary and learn about green burial.

Director Shedd Farley will give a walking tour presentation of the Natural Path Sanctuary. Meet at the bur oak tree near the red packing shed at the Farley Center at 9:50 a.m.. Please wear good walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Please check back on the facebook page for any changes due to the weather.

Gene Farley Sculpture Exhibit
Opening Reception – Sat, Aug. 13,

Many of you who have been out to the Farley Center have noticed the many sculptures that are grace the land.

Gene Farley was a man of many talents. In addition to being the Chair of the UW Family Medicine, he was active in many progressive groups but he also enjoyed creating these large metal sculptures and drawing what he called doodles.

There are a total of 17 sculptures at the Center. There is another one in front of the Social Justice Center in Madison and another in Golden, CO.

We will kick off the Gene Farley Sculpture Exhibit on Sat, August 13 from 1:00-2:30 at the Farley Center. Please join us for light refreshments and take a map and take a self guided sculpture tour. This exhibit will be a permanent exhibit at the Center.

Linda Farley also was artistic and talented and enjoyed painting with watercolors. The watercolor is from a photo of Gene working on a sculpture. Linda named it “Sculpturer with Red Gloves.”

Farley Center Fall Festival 2022

Come join us for the Farley Center Fall Celebration 2022- Open House and Apple Cider Day! Pick apples, wash apples, slice apples and press the apples in the 180 year old cider press! Come join us on a tour of the Natural Path Sanctuary, farm or bees. Listen to music and have a great time!

Please bring your baked apple treats (and other treats) to share with others!

Farley Center honey will be available for sale by Beekeepers Patrick Norby and Matt Kersten. Beekeepers will have information if you are interested in being a Farley Center Beekeeper!

Farley Center farmers will be selling fresh, organic vegetables at the Market Table.

Donations will be accepted to go toward the purchase of buying the next planting of fruit trees. All are welcome!
