NPS – Walking Tour (limited to 6)

Due to COVID- 19 and the safety of all attendees, we are LIMITING this tour to SIX PEOPLE ONLY. Farley Center Director and Natural Path Sanctuary (NPS) Coordinator Shedd Farley will give a walking tour presentation of the Sanctuary. Meet at the front of the Farley Center at 7:00 a.m.. Please wear good walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Please check back on the facebook page for any changes due to the weather.

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR PRESENTATION – THERE WILL NOT BE A PRESENTATION IN THE CENTER. THE FARLEY CENTER BUILDING IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC BUT THERE ARE PORT A POTTIES FOR USE.

The Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice, and Sustainability is located on 43 acres of rolling hills in the Town of Springdale just outside of Verona, Wisconsin. It is dedicated to making the world a better place while respecting the natural world.
Its major source of revenue is natural burial in its Natural Path Sanctuary. That enables the Center to support local farmers, beekeepers and offer many festivals, events, tours and educational activities.

The center’s director, Shedd Farley, will explain the philosophy and practice behind natural burial as well as the history of how the center came to be.

Due to concerns for the health of attendees and speaker, the Waunakee Public Library and Farley Center have canceled the June 24 Green Burial Presentation. We will reschedule at a later date.

In light of present circumstances regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), this event has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled at a future date TBD.

End of life planning can be difficult. Knowing more about the options available, and earlier, can make difficult times less stressful.

Shedd Farley from the Natural Path Sanctuary will be at Gilda’s Club to share with you the ins and outs of green burials. Bring your questions.
