Come visit the food forest at the Farley Center with Emily Steinwehe/Wisconsin Food Forest!

The food forest includes newly planted areas through the Wisconsin Food Forests initiative as well as more mature areas featuring a range of planting styles: guilds and contours and a mix of plants from the well known: apples, pears, and grapes, to the lesser known: paw paw, cornelian cherry, honeyberry, quince, serviceberry, currants, and many more under and overstory plants.

The Farley Center is a certified organic farm where many growers rent land and share common resources like tractors, irrigation lines, and coolers.

Learn how to make Singapore-style spring rolls and support The Farley Center.

Enjoy an evening learning to prepare and roll Singapore-style spring rolls with Josey Chu, owner of local small business Madame Chu’s Delicacies! Josey will teach you to create 2 types of vegetarian rolls from your own kitchen: 1 fresh and 1 fried, using traditional, wheat flour spring roll wrappers. Join us for a live virtual class from the P&P demo kitchen. Kits will include enough ingredients to prepare 25 rolls in total: 12 fresh, 12 fried and 1 filled with an extra of your favorite!

Do good while you’re enjoying as many rolls as you can eat—this event will benefit The Farley Center!

Spring Roll kit pick-ups will be on Wed, April 27 1-7pm and Thurs, April 28 11am-5pm at Pasture and Plenty, 2433 University Ave., Madison

Cocktail Hour with Farley Center

Farley Center has partnered with Palette Bar and Grill on a new cocktail using our own Farley Center honey. They will debut and start selling the new cocktail “Farley Fly-By” on their menu for the Spring.

On February 26th, Palette is hosting a special night for Farley Center supporters. Join us for the cocktail hour (you can also order it without alcohol)! We will be in the bar area from 4:30-8:00pm with some brochures and a friendly smile.

If you want to make reservations for the dining room, please e-mail programs@farleycenter.org and let us know the time/number of people and we will send them over to Palette’s Bar and Grill.

Please bring your baked apple treats (and other treats) to share with others!

Farley Center honey will be available for sale by Beekeepers Patrick Norby and Matt Kersten. Beekeepers will have information if you are interested in being a Farley Center Beekeeper!

Farley Center farmers will be selling fresh, organic vegetables at the Market Table.

Donations will be accepted to go toward the purchase of buying the next planting of fruit trees. All are welcome!

Farley Center & SWWAP’s Halloween Community Potluck and Bonfire

Come join the Farley Center and the Southwest Wisconsin Area Progressives (SWWAP) for our Halloween community potluck and bonfire!

There will be music (feel free to bring any musical instruments), poetry by Tim White/SWWAP, good food and a BONFIRE!

Join us for friendship, laughs and fun as we wind down the year. Bring your own drinks, a dish to share, blankets, and lawn chairs.

Come and take a walk through the Natural Path Sanctuary and the Farley Center farms while you are here.

In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled with updates on our facebook page and posts in this invitation. But hopefully, we will have wonderful weather!

Saad and Ellen Khalia, owners of Steep N Brew West will be donating hot coffee for all the festival goers. We thank them for donating coffee to our festival each year!

Madame Chu will be back to the Farley Center Fall Festival with her special jalapenos made with our own Farley Center honey! This product is only made and sold for the Farley Center Fall Festival. So, stock up when you can. As we get closer to the date, we can take pre-orders and have them ready for pick up when you come! Discount if you purchase a case.

El Sabor de Puebla/Reyna Gonzalez will have food available for purchase at the festival. If you would like to order tamales in advance, we can take orders for a dozen/$20 for pork, chicken or vegetarian. Place your order with programs@farleycenter.org and put “Tamales” in the subject line and we will give Reyna your order and she will bring the frozen tamales for pick up/payment at the Fall Festival.

The Farley Center will be having a Hmong Institute eggroll fundraiser You can pre-order eggrolls and pick them up at the festival Farley Center Farmer Yee Ythao and the Hmong Institute Director and Board Chair will be at the Farley Center. You can just write “pick up at the Farley Center” on the order form. All proceeds from these eggroll sales (Farley Center will supply ingredients for the eggrolls pre-ordered and sold at our festival) will go directly to the Hmong Institute.  For any questions, please e-mail programs@farleycenter.org
