Natural Path Sanctuary Native Garden – Groundbreaking and Seeding Celebration

Nov. 9, 2025

It’s time to plant the new NPS Native Garden, a designated area to grow native Wisconsin plants. Here, NPS cemetery members can engage and connect in various ways, such as tending the gardens, collecting seeds, or just enjoying the peace of the beautiful view. It will be an education and engagement resource, providing a regenerative, sustainable source for grave plantings. The goals of this project include demonstrating the importance of native plantings and providing an option for those who would like to plant on their own plot or around the grave of a loved one.

Please attend the “Groundbreaking and Seeding Celebration” on Sunday Nov. 9, 12:00 to 2:00 pm, to participate in leveling the ground, followed by scattering and tamping in the seeds that will overwinter to be ready to sprout next spring.

Farley Center Land Art Exhibit Walking Tour -Peace Songs 2025

Sept 13 – 1:00-2:00

Farley Center Land Art Exhibit
Peace Songs 2025 (August 9 – October 31 – maps in the Farley Center kiosk)
2299 Spring Rose Road
Verona. Wi

Come join us at 1:00 PM on Sat, Sept 13 for the Farley Center Land Art tour during the Dane Arts/Farley Center/Visit Verona Art Festival (10:00-5:00). https://www.facebook.com/events/714939224673340

All participating artists will gather with visitors at the Farley Center kiosk at 1:00.

After a brief introduction, each artist will then take a small group to their own installation.

Artists will remain at their art installation from 1:00–2:00 PM to welcome visitors, talk about their work, and answer questions. Visitors will each have a map and will be free to explore at their own pace, choosing which installations to visit and in what order. This should help scatter visitors throughout the Sanctuary and avoid large crowds in one spot.

Support along the paths:

Caroline and Shedd Farley, along with Natural Path Sanctuary board members Brenda Emerson and Jayne Squirrell, will be stationed at key locations in the woods to help direct visitors and answer questions.

This is the seventh year (every other year since 2013) that area artists will create installations in the woods of the Natural Path Sanctuary on the Farley Center land. These artists are rising to the challenge of using only materials that can safely decompose back into the land. Thank you to Dane Arts and Visit Verona for your support of our artists, land art exhibit and Art Festival.

Thank you to all the Farley Center Land Artists:

Farley Center with Musician Julien Kozak at the Natural Path Sanctuary Death Education Market

6/21/25

Come join us for the Natural Path Sanctuary Death Education Market where we will feature music by Julien Kozak.

Julien Kozak
With a sweet, baritone voice reminiscent of a young James Taylor, soft-spoken singer-songwriter, Julien Kozak, has been walking the bridge between folk and pop. Hailing from Milwaukee, he takes influences from the likes of James Taylor, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran. His soothing voice, intricate guitar melodies, and universally relatable lyrics seem to be catching everyone’s ear, including that of James Taylor himself. Julien has been featured on James’ instagram page, has opened for American Idol runner-up Clark Beckham, and completed a national tour of the US.
