Natural Path Sanctuary Native Garden – Groundbreaking and Seeding Celebration

Nov. 9, 2025

It’s time to plant the new NPS Native Garden, a designated area to grow native Wisconsin plants. Here, NPS cemetery members can engage and connect in various ways, such as tending the gardens, collecting seeds, or just enjoying the peace of the beautiful view. It will be an education and engagement resource, providing a regenerative, sustainable source for grave plantings. The goals of this project include demonstrating the importance of native plantings and providing an option for those who would like to plant on their own plot or around the grave of a loved one.

Please attend the “Groundbreaking and Seeding Celebration” on Sunday Nov. 9, 12:00 to 2:00 pm, to participate in leveling the ground, followed by scattering and tamping in the seeds that will overwinter to be ready to sprout next spring.

Join us for a delightful evening of flowers at The Farley Center! We will then gather under the oaks or in the barn for a bouquet-building demonstration followed by the opportunity to arrange your own bouquet to bring home with you!

In 2020 she started Root to Bloom, LLC, a cut flower grower-owned business. She sells at the Eastside Farmers Market, subscriptions to members (anyone can join), bulk flowers for weddings and celebrations, and wholesale to restaurants and businesses.

3/9/25

Please join Natural Path Sanctuary Board Chair Jeanne Meier and other volunteers for a day working outside in the Natural Path Sanctuary(NPS).

“The concept for this work day and Amplify Joy began last year with a “Random Acts of Kindness for Zemi” week commemorating the one-year anniversary of beautiful Zemirah “Zemi” Somin Sung’s four-day stay here on Earth. Zemi’s body has been laid to eternal rest at Natural Path Sanctuary; her indomitable spirit lives on in us. May our actions spread like ripples of love around us, setting off a chain reaction of positivity that touches countless lives. Let’s really launch her legacy this year!”
